Introduction

The Mary Salmond Trust is committed to processing data in accordance with its responsibilities under the General Data Protection Register (GDPR).

The Trust require to hold the personal information you submit in order to process your Funding Application received by the Trust.

This policy applies to all personal data processed by the Charity.

Security and Retention of Records

Any information you provide to the Trust will be kept confidential to the Trust. We will not disclose this information to other individuals or external agencies without your permission unless we are legally obliged to do so.

The Charity shall ensure that personal data is stored securely. The Trust retain records for a period of three years. After this time, your data will be disposed of securely.

In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data, the Charity shall promptly assess the risk to people’s rights and if appropriate report this breach to the ICO.

Accessing Personal Data

Individuals have the right to access their personal data The Trust holds about you, any such requests made to the charity shall be dealt with in a timely manner. To request a copy of your personal data, please contact the chair.

Complaints

If you wish to raise concerns about the way in which the Trust hold your data, please contact the Chair who will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with the response, or believe the Trust is not processing your personal data in accordance with the law, you can complain to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
